There’s a website you can paste text into that will “analyze” your writing and tell you what famous author you write like.
This is for one of those hours when you can’t get anything worthwhile written, and you’re wasting time on your digital thingy. It’s a fun way to spend five minutes, even if it can’t possibly be accurate. After all, it says I write like Dan Brown. Pshaw.
ROFL
It says my 1st person WIP is like Stephenie Meyer and my 3rd per is like J.K. Rowling.
I put in three pieces and I got: L. Frank Baum (By Blood Bequeathed), H.P. Lovecraft (In the Company of Bats), & J. R. R. Tolkien (A Question of Honor) aka The Brothers' Union.
whoa!!! How strange! Did you put in the whole piece each time? I only put in 2 or 3 paragraphs of my new thing. Then I put in a couple of paragraphs from The Sower and got Stephen King. Another couple of paragraphs from The Sower yielded Margaret Mitchell.ha!
On the longer one I put in ten pages. The other two I used the whole thing.
sorta fun. But does it mean anything? I mean, Stephen King and The Sower? lol in what world?
I’m really getting in to some of his books (at the moment, ‘Salem’s Lot), and I want to buy more. What were your favorite and least favorite Stephen King books?
