This morning I got an email I’ve been waiting for for years. Covenant has accepted my manuscript (the LDS one) !!!
I still can’t believe it.
It is tentatively scheduled for next summer. They said over the next few months I will be assigned an editor and contracts will be signed at that time. I’ve heard of them changing their mind, so I’m trying not to think about that. I’m floating!
I have a million things to do today and I can’t do anything but dance!

That’s awesome. I’d love to hear the story of how that worked out (writing, submission, how long it took, etc.)
Bryce…it took me about a year to write and pass through my critique group. I had a pitch session with this company at a writing conference back in September, and they encouraged me to send them the full. They have a pretty extensive review process and a backlog, so normally it wouldn’t take this long to hear back, but I’m so relieved and happy.

Holy cow, I still can't breathe. I would LOVE to have your help when the time comes! Consider yourself signed up. I do have a killer critique group that went through the ms thoroughly. I owe them so much. Drafts? Um. A billion. And there will be more. Sick of it? Oh hunny. Very, when I sent it in, but it's been since September so I'm ready to work on it again.

Yep…in my other life I play with stories. My little book is for LDS teens, set slightly in the future. The silliest thing is, it doesn't even have a title!
